Can Anarchy Be Far In America When The U.S Government Blatantly Disregards The Rule of Law With Impunity?

As I look at futuristic movies, such as Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome and The Book of Eli, I always notice two apparent ingredients; there’s little or no moral integrity amongst the people and they have little or no respect for the rule of law. In short there’s a breakdown in social order. As I continually witness the federal Administration either unilaterally change laws to suit its agenda or blatantly subverting or ignoring its own laws and the Constitution with seemingly no or little care of retribution – either politically or from the citizenry, and the subsequent subconscious or conscious reaction by the American people to begin themselves ignoring and or subverting laws and customs of our society, the question that one must ask how far is all out lawless?

obama tears constitutionThe most recent acts by the U.S Administration, via the Democratically dominated Senate, is to unilaterally make the vote of those represented by Senate Republicans virtually irrelevant with the so-called Nuclear Option” in order to get Mr. O’s controversial judicial appointments through. And then the Administration decides in order to help the chances of the Democrats in the 2014 Elections, Mr. O decides to once again moves a deadline in the Affordable Care Act, i.e, Obamacare. This time he moves the deadline for employers to become compliant with Obamacare from the first of 2014 to the first of 2015. In October he unilaterally moved the deadline for individuals to have signed up for coverage for Obamacare from February to March. But the Affordable Care Act was signed into law nearly 3 years ago! It is law! Signed, sealed, and delivered! How is it that he can just wake up and change it, whether it be for political reasons, or any other, without any input from Congress? The answer…because Congress and the people of America and the United States allow him to. Can you imagine the shit storm that would have come about if Reagan or G.W would have in any way sought to alter their tax cuts to benefit Republicans and make themselves look better? It would have been UUUUGLY!

I am not saying that Mr. O is the first President or government official to play loose with the implementation of our laws, but no president has done it so brazenly. And with Mr. O, there has been deafening silence and or quiet acquiescence by the Establishment Media and the Elite Republicans. But lets not forget other laws that proved to be not worth enforcing by the nation’s head Executive:

Mediaiet.com reported a December 3, 2013 congressional committee hearing, constitutional limits imposed on the presidency and the implications of President Barack Obamas disregard for implementing the Affordable Care Act as written, one expert testified that the consequences of the president’s behavior were potentially grave. He said that the precedent set by Obama could eventually lead to an armed revolt against the federal government.  Lets not forget that Mr. O, as all presidents have done, swore an oath to that he would faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of his ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. I don’t see any ambiguity here.

An argument can be said the law is truth. If law is supposed to be the truth and the highest enforcer and defender of the truth/law willfully ignores or circumvents it and or its process, then it [the law/truth] must be a lie/not lawful. Right?

The psychological effects of witnessing the highest seat of power in our nation blatantly and repeatedly disregarding his oath to execute laws with impunity helps to decrease trust in the nation’s government, not and trust in our neighbors as well. We are observing an Administration on a mission to initiate legalized plunder, transferring from one group of citizens – whether it be rights, privileges, property, or wealth – to another citizen like no other man to sit in the seat of the Presidency, even at the expense of America’s future prosperity. And he is doing this right in front of our stunned and bewildered eyes with barely a hint of genuine opposition visible. Frederic Bastiat described legal plunder to be, Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime.”

When the chief Executive of our nation is allowed to choose what laws to enforce, what Constitutional provisions to adhere to, do we truly have law? If the government allows people to stay in our country illegally and grant them benefits that are prohibited to our own citizens, how can we say that is right? If the government decides to change the definition of what marriage is, therefore violating the very principles and customs upon which this nation has long rested without any true justification, other than political, how can we say that is right? If we can not trust the highest law enforcer and executive to respect and enforce our laws, who can we turn to honestly enforce our laws? How can we tell our children that honesty, being truthful, and being of good character are of the of highest moral traits when they openly see dishonesty and moral debauchery being so richly rewarded? Should we be truly surprised when we hear even the youngest of our citizens disrespecting authority or grounds that prior generations would dare to tread? And at what point should we no longer look for the government to protect us or be honest with us? Movies such as Mad Max do not have to be depictions of our nation’s future…unless we choose for it to be.

Americanism Is At Risk Of Becoming An Extinct Concept To The Next Generation Of Americans

Late former President Ronald Reagan prophetically said that, Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.” My only fear is that we may have already reached that point, if not passed it.  We have created too many orphans to the very concept of freedom – of Americanism.

To me Americanism includes first, the love of God, love and respect of father and mother, love and respect of American culture and history, and last, but not less, love and respect of America’s founding principles – the Constitution for the united states of America and the Declaration of Independence, and with the innate drive to be independent and self-governing.  But one must have the knowledge of their existence for any of the principles and concepts to have any relevance. The common thread that binds all of these concepts is a high degree of moral standards, via Biblical philosophy and principles.

Ever since the Supreme Court’s mis-application of Jefferson’s “separation of church and state” reference the federal government, particularly those of the liberal/progressive political persuasion, have been hell-bent on abolishing any presence of Christianity and God from public view to the point that many Americans view themselves as not only being not Christian, but of no particular religious foundation at all.  The popular acceptance of secular religions and intuitively counter Christian philosophies to include even that of Islam is running rampant throughout our society, aided by the federal government, at the expense of our nation’s traditional religious beliefs and philosophies. 

The explosion of single-parent households coupled with the politically redefining of marriage to include pairings of same-sexed persons have rattled the once solid foundation of the nuclear family, that of one man and one woman, to it’s core.  And has disturbed and confused the building and structuring pillars that once raised a child to adulthood to clearly know and understand right from wrong actions, and to have a clear sense of the hierarchical nature of a civil society, rather than a society of few absolutes, less defined roles of behavior, absent defined boundaries, and a gross detached sense of personal responsibility with little or no fear of consequences. The self-evident negative consequences that actions such as having a child as a single parent and raising as child in a homosexual household is having on our society has been a generation or more children growing up without true guidance or structure from home as in past generations, grossly deficient in critical social skills, and eternally lacking moral and ethical integrity amongst not only our youth, but our society as a whole.

And as for the results of a grossly politically and civically detached American populous, it can not be described as anything but tragic!  A September 2011 USA Today article reported on some findings from an Annenberg Public Policy Center survey that should make anyone who loves this great nation serious concern:

  • Just 38% of the poll’s respondents can name all three branches of the U.S. government (executive, legislative and judicial) One-third are unable to correctly name any of the branches.
  • 15% correctly say John Roberts is chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, but almost twice as many respondents (27%) correctly named Randy Jackson as a judge on TV’s American Idol.
  • A majority of people (55%) incorrectly believe the Constitution was signed in 1776. That’s the year the Declaration of Independence was signed. The Constitution was signed Sept. 17, 1787.

As former Justice Sandra O’Connor said, “If we don’t know what makes this country special and worth saving, how will we know how to safeguard its promise of freedom and opportunity.”

It is my belief that when someone speaks of changing a person or a nation fundamentally they can only be talking of changing him or it from its core. Changing his or it’s belief structure. Changing his or its culture. And changing his or its self perception.  Tearing him or it down in order rebuild it in an different manner.  America from its inception has always been stubbornly masculine in personality, a independent-minded cultured nation, and grounded in and guided by Judeo-Christian principles.  But more importantly, a politically engaged and educated people were always to be the most critical component for the nation’s survival as a free nation.  Remember what Ben Franklin said after the first Constitutional Convention, we have a republic, IF WE CAN KEEP IT.  But with the slow incremental introduction of collectivism, more and more personal responsibility being transferred to the government, and just the abandonment of the fundamental principles and beliefs that has made this nation the envy of the world for over 200 years, we find ourselves now with the federal government in control of nearly 10% of the nation’s economy and able to micro-manage the lives of nearly every U. S and American citizen with the enactment of the Affordable Care Act, i.e., Obamacare, and more Americans dependent on the U.S government for their very survival. Coupled with a frightful number of Americans lacking any knowledge or understanding of this nation’s founding principles, heritage, or the reason that makes this nation truly exceptional holds even more worrisome prospect for the nation’s future as one of a free-minded people.  A CNN July 4th, 2013 article reported that, “A shocking 85% of Americans cannot correctly describe the “rule of law,” as bedrock a principle as we have. A similar percentage cannot identify the Constitution as the “supreme law of the land.” How can one defend something that they know nothing about or falsely indentify?

History tells us that you can not have freedom absent a high degree of morality and personal responsibility. And whether one chooses to admit it, the Christian Bible has been the cornerstone of America’s miraculous success.  If one were to place Biblical principles next to the Constitution one would clearly recognize the connection between the two.  The question I have to ask, if our Christian principles and fundamental values are to be removed from our society, what would we have to replace it with that would benefit us as much? What other’s nation’s successful principles would we adapt?

The importance of Christendom to our nation’s existence can not be questioned, but by one unlearned in our history. Congress in 1854 rejected a petition to separate Christian principles from government. Congress resolved, “Had the people during the Revolution, had a suspicion of any attempt to war against Christianity, that Revolution would have been strangled in its cradle. It is the next generation of American’s  relationship to freedom and morality and the nation’s traditional Biblical principles and history that has served this nation well that is of extreme concern.  Without the bounds of principles that has guided their forefathers and this nation to the prosperity that they have become too accustomed the future does appear to be problematic if this nation is to remain in any resemblance to what we were given.

The next time that you see one of those segments on TV where random citizens are asked the most basic of questions such as, What year was the nation’s Declaration of Independence was signed? and they express their blatant ignorance, or when you witness youths express no interest in American traditional religious values or history, or when you see a woman who has 10 plus children, with no financial means, and no job skills, unremorsefully speaks of how others, i.e., you and I, the government, should help pay for her and her children needs, to the degree that it makes you cringe intensely, just remember what G.W, [George Washington] said in 1796,“Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. . . . And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle”.

And as Mr. Reagan prophetically said, If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on earth” The choice is ours.

America’s Fundamental Transformation Covertly Continues Unabated As Most Americans Are Tuned To Channel Zero

OK, so that I won’t be the only one not to call Mr. O a bald-face liar, regarding his promise to the people being able to keep our current policies and doctors under Obamacare and the supposed cost reduction and savings. But com’on what could we expect from someone who spent most of his adult life in a church that spewed some of the most vile anti-American sermons in the world, got married in that church, and than wanting to be President he says with a straight face to the American people and U.S citizens, “I did not know”!? The people voted for him…TWICE! That’s like you catching your man on the eve of your wedding day coming out of your bedroom sweating, dripping, and erect. And he tells you that it was a big mistake and misunderstanding and that he didn’t know that she wasn’t you. And you still marry him. It’s not going to get better.  But his actions are not the real issue. The real issue is what made us, as Americans and citizens of the United States, accept such behavior from someone holding such an important position in the first place?

It does not matter that the Obamacare site doesn’t work as promised. It matters that the man in the seat of the Presidency of the United States lied to us regarding the true intent of Obamacare. And it does not matter how many people are not able to get affordable healthcare with Obamacare, are not able to keep their current polices under Obamacare, or are not able to keep their current doctors under Obamacare. It does not matter that the true cost of Obamacare will be saddle this nation with an anchor of debt for generations. It matters more that the man who’s sitting in the seat of the President of the United States purposely lied to us in saying repeatedly that this would not be the case. The truly disturbing question of the matter is why we the people keep accepting such a blatantly unethical man to continue to sit in that seat?. Nixon lied for arguably far less an egregious offense to the people’s trust and the integrity of the nation and was drummed out of office on his second term. But, I hear not even a snare in this case. Hum.!

No one can honestly look back just over the past 40 years and say that America is at it’s best now and that things can only get better, particularly just on a societal basis. History tells us that the great nations of the past were not defeated from without by guns and soldiers, but from within from societal debasement and the lost of a stern moral compass. Early famous 1800 writer and historian, Sir Alex Fraser Tyler, prophetically stated, The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; form courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependence; from dependence back again to bondage.” I dare say that I believe that we are in the severe latter stages as a nation. But this transformation has not come suddenly, in the light of day, or by a knock at the front door, but incrementally, in the shadows, and by way of an extra backdoor key that your naive child mistreated.

Though Mr. O boastfully and brazenly proclaimed that he was going to “fundamentally transform” this nation, and many of us mistook that for empty political rhetoric, this transformation has been going on hidden in plain sight for generations. Mr. O just turned things up a few hundred notches and been more brazen with his destructive actions than any previous president. But this drastic societal transformation could not be accomplished in a vacuum nor by a single individual. In this case it has happened with a grossly complicit Established Media complex that is more set to entertain than inform the people, an educational system that instead indoctrinates, and a grossly intellectually politically uninitiated populace.

Today, this once proud nation has more people unemployed and unemployable, more people on food-stamps and government assistance for our basic needs like in no other time, as the population of illegal immigrants, particularly those from Mexico, swell to unprecedented levels with the blessings and submission of the federal government. Our brave and courageous sons, daughters, husbands and wives that volunteered to be part of the U.S military, are being subjected to religious discrimination and suppression, particularly if they subscribe the Christian persuasion, as though they were governed by a foreign power. Christendom as a whole is being aggressively suppressed in the general American population as in no other time. And America’s founding principles and ideals are being treated as vulgarity not just by the federal government, but by the general population like in no time.

I would hasten to conclude that the main cause for all of this is from the gross degradation of the moral and ethical thread that used to be apparent in our society and culture and the stubborn American individual desire to be independent and dependent from the government and to strive to be academically exceptional above all others that we once as a nation made us feared and respected.

The vaunted American identity of a staunch belief in right and wrong, governed by Judo-Christian teachings, and Constitutional principles, have been confiscated like the Royal Jewels in the dead of nite as far too many of us lose ourselves in psychological frivolity and the perpetual search for pleasure, joy, and fun without responsibility nor fear of consequences. Thus, have jettisoned any notion of civic responsibility. Mr. O is who and what he is. No president has so brazenly spoke to the American people with such discourtesy, disrespect, and complete disregard for our intelligence with the impunity as he has. And the Establishment Press does shoulder some blame for this atrocity of government, but it, just as the government, provides the product that the masses demand. If we the people want an accountable and morally based government, we would have one. And if we the people want an honest Establishment Press, we would have one. But, we do not demand high standards of morality or ethics of ourselves, so how can we honestly and truthfully demand it of someone or something else? And then how can we be shocked that the members of government continues to behave is such discourteous and immoral ways that put the nation’s existence in peril?

Thomas Jefferson may have said it best when he said, “Yes, we did produce a near-perfect republic. But will they keep it? Or will they, in the enjoyment of plenty, lose the memory of freedom? Material abundance without character is the path of destruction” and If a nation expects to be ignorant and free it expects what never was and never will be.” At the end of the day if you catch your soon-to-be-spouse cheating and lying to you before the marriage, and you don’t hold them accountable, then you get what you get. At the end of the day, we the people have the government that we desire, good or bad. At the end of the day, it is up to each of us to secure our prosperity and liberties for ourselves and our posterity.

If There Was Ever A Coupe Of The U.S Government Would The American People Know?

A couple of years ago I wrote an article asking the question if the U.S government had been taken over due to its apparent extreme aversion to acting upon the will of the people? In it I refereed to an August ’07 issue of the Financial Times report on David Walker’s, the comptroller general of the US General Accounting Office, warning us that the US government is on a “burning platform” of unsustainable policies and practices with fiscal deficits, chronic healthcare underfunding, and immigration… threatening a crisis if action is not taken soon. Well after nearly 7 years past and being witness to yet another orchestrated performance by the U.S government to confuse, distract, and disorient the American people to further expand its power while still doing absolutely nothing about the burning platform that more threatens to engulf our nation.

obama smugBut just as with the magician on stage, it matters less what is being focused on under the lights, but what is going on just out of focus and in the shadows. After about two weeks of a government supposed shutdown over the Administration’s unwillingness to delay the mandate for every U.S citizen to get sign up for Obamacare, just as it has done for businesses, and creating some way to reduce the government’s debt before agreeing to increase its debt ceiling. But after all was said done the issue on Obamacare became a non-issue and the debt limits got increased without any restraints. In fact, the government spent more money on more pork projects and back paying federal employees the money that they didn’t receive during the shut down that actually only effected less than a quarter of the federal government. So even the most passive observer must ask the question what was it truly all for?

As the main political players-the Progressives in the Republican and Democratic parties, particularly Mr. Obama, and the Establishment Media-attempted to focus us on just the volleys of how to not to do what is truly right for the American people, Mr. O quietly moved forward to fundamentally transforming this nation, while in the light he tells us that he’s working his hardest to do the exact opposite.

Recent Pew Research and Rasmussen Poll tells us aloud what many of us feel instinctively, that we do not trust the government and the future of our once great republic is going down a dark rabbit hole. Yet at the same time we like the individuals in government, i.e. Mr. O is still liked on a personality basis, we just don’t like where he’s taking the nation. It’s like we are all on a boat heading over Niagara Falls that’s being driven and managed by people who we don’t trust nor believe to be competent. While the majority of us appear to be grossly distracted by the hypnotic tunes of the band and the visual imagery, leaving the minority who are alert and conscious wondering why is this all happening when we all see the cliff quickly coming before us?

We all know that this is not the America that we imagined it would become. Intuitively we know that there is something very wrong with this picture. Yet, here we are. And curiously, none of the political creatures of the federal government seem to truly want to do anything to correct the dire situation that faces the America. But while the circus seemed to have everyone’s attention who were fixated to the printed and TV Media programing during the “debt crisis”, somethings where interestingly not focused on, but maybe more interesting particularly to those of us who are more intellectually politically initiated such as:

And what may be more telling of Mr. O’s focus, his first stated goal following the “crisis” is not rebuilding the nation’s economic standing, not to increase the nation’s standard of living, nor reestablishing the lost of faith in the federal government by the American people by establishing a more stern code of ethics, but to get more illegal-immigrants into the country.

But hey, we are in football season and soon it will be the holidays. As the U.S government further enacts it’s modern day version of Ancient Rome’s “Bread and Circus” the America that we all hoped for ourselves and our children of freedom and prosperity becomes more at peril. Don’t mind the smoke! Pass the popcorn.
