Remember America, You Have the Government You Deserve

Make America Great Again?

On Wednesday morning, the 9th of November 2016, many Americans and citizens of the United States awaken with sadness, heartache, joy, exhilaration, and some with anger.  And I’m sure that there were some wondering WTF?!.  and asking themselves, how did we get to such a decrepit political situation, again? We were literally stuck with no good choice to be the leader of the most powerful nation on the planet. Some members of the society were so upset over the democratic election of the Mr. Donald J. Trump that they marched in the nation’s streets and lashed out to almost anything of a visual reminder of the victor to express their dissatisfaction and frustration.  I found it interesting that Media sought not to describe this extreme expression of dissatisfaction as “racist” due to the fact that Mr. Trump is Caucasian, or discriminatory against the wealthy, due to Mr. Trump’s immense wealth, or age discrimination, due to the fact the Trump will be the oldest man to be elected president at 70 years old, or any other excuse for violent acts and disorder to attach to a protected class as it did strenuously struggled to apply to any criticism or expression of dissatisfaction over the election or policies of Mr. Barack Obama; as though any and all discontent expressed was simply due to the fact that he was Black.

As I look at it, I see very little difference from post-election day 2016 and that of 2008 or 2012.  I’m sure that were many of the voters wondering, could we had done better with the choices that were laid in front of us?  A good argument can be made that in the 2008 and 2012 elections the voters were left between rather to have their left arm or right leg sawed off at the joints.  Whereas on Tuesday November 8th 2016 left voters with the choice of either have the left or right eye ball removed with a rusty tong; both candidate’s had unfavourabilities hovering near 60%.  Amazing!

I think that mid-1700’s French lawyer, diplomat, writer, and philosopher, Joseph de Maistre, may have said it best, “In a democracy people get the leaders they deserve.”  You notice that he did not say that we get the leaders that we want, but the leaders that we deserve.  I’d be willing to bet you a dollar to a donut that most U.S voters would say that they want the U.S president to be a person of high moral conviction, of good character, and honest. But, actions speak volumes.  If you take an honest assessment of the two individuals that were the electable choices to be president, it would be quite obvious that that’s not what the voters ultimately voted for.  Quite the opposite.  So too the same can be said as for the two prior presidential election outcomes.

The Citizens of the United States in ’08 and 2012 elected a man to be president without enquiring of him anything more than they would someone who was applying to manicure their yard. We cared not his political philosophy.  We cared not of his personal affiliations that helped mold and influence his world view, men such as Frank Marshall Davis, Saul Alinsky, Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers.  All of whom were either Communist/Marxist, Socialist, and or Anarchist.  We showed scant, if any, interest in how did the effects of both of his dads being from socialist/communist Muslim countries, one being from Indonesia and his biological father being from Kenya, and his mother having extreme socialist political leanings, had on his world perception.  Nor did we seem to be too inquisitive how he could be part of the Trinity United Church of Christ for some 20 plus years, be married in it, and have a person such Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who preached a radical form of black liberation, and then tell us that he had no idea of the type of preaching that was espoused by Rev. Wright.  Mr. O was presented to the voters as blank canvas, for which we could mentally create into who we wanted him to be, as he spoke with velvet silk tongue about “Hope & Change”.  How he would make all of our economic pains go away; that Santa [the government] would take from the bad an evil rich and give all of their ill-gotten wealth to us, the “less fortunate”; and that Santa would deliver us a Utopian paradise, just because.  Too many of us chose not to question with boldness the man who promised to “Fundamentally transform America”, just what was he transforming America from, and into what?  And the complicit Media ensured that we the people stayed distracted and squabbling amongst over selves so those such questions remain unasked.

With so much of the population so conditionally adverse to learning history, and therefore lack the ability to learn from it, it should come as no surprise that another virtual unknown is elected to the highest political office of the land, once again.  This time he wears the Republican brand, billionaire businessman Mr. Donald J. Trump.  Riding an emotional tsunami of a nation’s silent majority’s anger and discontent who has felt betrayed by the political “Establishment” and disillusioned with the future prospects of the nation – economically, nationally, and socially, with admittedly having never held any public office and showing no passion for historical political functioning nor posture. He sailed his way to being elected president of the United States on bluster, showmanship, machoism, and an emotionally charged mantra, “I’m Going to Make America Great Again”.  And let’s not forget to mention he was up against the most ethically and morally flawed Democrat opponent who literally had a personality, that if she was honey, would draw 2 bees; and 1 would be lost.  But even the most intellectually passive person might ask, What is his vision of America’s greatness? and How will that be manifested?

Once again, the voters of the United States some to be grossly disinterested in the philosophical constitution of the man who they have chosen to be president.  The nation voters seem curiosity vacant regarding the political constitution of a man who has never held political office.  For the  man who is to be the face of the Republican Party, Mr. Trump has stated positions that are more than intellectually counter-intuitive, if not repugnant, to the ideology of Republicanism, such as; he favors Planned Parenthood, favors gender “equality” in the workforce, advocates eminent domain, he is for forcing businesses to adopt family paid leave policies, has stated the need for “universal healthcare”, and what to me is the most irreprehensible statement that he made was that “he has never sought the need to repent or ask the Creator for forgiveness.  Should even the least inquisitive amongst us not pause and ask, what is it that guides this man who will be president’s decision making and governs his notion of right and wrong?  Should someone be asking what does the fact that he is on his third marriage and that he has many times placed a greater value on potential golf course over that of 92 y/o Scottish woman’s fundamental right to be left alone say about his moral compass?  Should we be at all concern of his strong fascist and corporatist leanings? What does the fact that he treats the Constitution with ill reverence says about whom he may choose to enforce it?  Is he the best amongst us whom we could have chosen?  Do we care to even ask such bold questions anymore?  And if the voters continue to take their choices so triviality, what does that say about the future of our great country?

A good argument can be made that it hasn’t been since the election of Reagan that the nation has had a president who the people, with little conscience reservation, felt proud when he spoke in our name, felt confident in his character, had confident that he was guided by Divine moral conviction, and felt little need question his judgement.  There is a reason that Reagan’s name still demands honor and respect, and so many Republicans blasphemously speaks his name for their illicit political benefit.  When have you heard any Democrat president spoken nearly with such reverence? Carter? Clinton? Will Obama be? Yes, you can say Kennedy. But the nation was vastly different then – morally, socially, economically, and politically.  The distance from America then and America now is comparable to that of Earth and Pluto.

The importance of choosing a God-fearing man of good moral character to govern and the consequences that would come if the American people failed in that undertaking may have been foretold no more prophetically them Founding Father Noah Webster, when he said, “When you become entitled to exercise the right of voting for public officers, let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers, “just men who will rule in the fear of God.” The preservation of government depends on the faithful discharge of this duty; if the citizens neglect their duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted; laws will be made, not for the public good so much as for selfish or local purposes; corrupt or incompetent men will be appointed to execute the laws; the public revenues will be squandered on unworthy men; and the rights of the citizens will be violated or disregarded. If a republican government fails to secure public prosperity and happiness, it must be because the citizens neglect the divine commands, and elect bad men to make and administer the laws.” and When a citizen gives his suffrage (vote) to a man of known immorality he abuses his trust; he sacrifices not only his own interest, but that of his neighbor, he betrays the interest of his country.”

This nation will not fail or succeed by the moral compass or quality of character of the leaders placed to govern, but by that of the people who chooses them to govern.

I Don’t Know Of What U.S Constitution and America Obama Was Referring To In His Inaugural Address; Not That Anyone Really Cares. He Does Sound Good Don’t He?.

Mr. Obama started in his inaugural speech by praising the strength of our nation’s Constitution. But, then he goes off on a tangent referring to things that have nothing to do with either our nation’s founding principles or founding documents; in particular the Declaration of Independence.

First, let’s give Mr. O credit for finally admitting that we Americans are exceptional.  But, we were NEVER promised a democracy.  If so then the word democracy would be found somewhere in the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence.  It is not!  But Article 3, Section 4 does guarantee us a “republican form of government.”   When he speaks of the patriots not fighting to replace tyranny of kings with the privileges of a few or mob rule, he sounds confused.  Because during the times of kings they were the government, and by definition mob rule is a democracy.  Of which he has shown by his actions that he wants nothing more than to greatly expand both infinitely.

When he says that, “we the people understand that our country cannot succeed when a shrinking few do very well and a growing many barely make it.”  Was he referring to Communist China, the Soviet Union, North Korea, or some other such nation that he holds in suppressed honor and regard?  Because my recollection is that this nation has been the economic marvel that all others have driven to attempt to imitate and still today many of other nation’s citizens cross blistering deserts and shark-infested waters to be included in – illegally and legally.  And it has been the free-spirited individual’s ability to dream and work hard to achieve beyond his wildest dreams to become successful and wealthy.  History does tell us that it is when government expands and eats up more money in the economy, the soup lines expands amongst the people.  It is only most recently, in the past four years, that there are more Americans on welfare, on food stamps, and chronically unemployed and sitting idle, thus not being able to make it.  But, lets not let that get in the way of his story. An argument can be made that we are in the mist of a ’29 depression without the Media plastering pictures and news of it.

The main thing that I found fundamentally glaringly flawed from Mr. O’s speech is that though the Declaration does state that we are all CREATED equal, it doesn’t mean that we are all created to remain so.  And if that is the case, it is not the job of the government to then attempt to make us so.   As Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas have said that, “…America was founded on a philosophy of individual rights, not group rights.” and that, “Government cannot make us equal; it can only recognize, respect, and protect us as equal before the law.”

All throughout the speech it was all about what government should do.  Nothing was stated about the true meaning of the Declaration of Independence, individualism.  Much unlike JFK’s inaugural speech when he said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country”, or Ron Reagan’s when he said, Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem…. We’ve been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of government himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden. The solutions we seek must be equitable, with no one group singled out to pay a higher price.”  Or even Jefferson’s speech at our nation’s infancy said, “Let us then, fellow citizens, unite with one heart and one mind, let us restore to social intercourse that harmony and affection without which liberty, and even life itself, are but dreary things,” … “Every difference of opinion is not a difference of principle. … We are all Republicans. We are all Federalists.”

Our nation, even with its issues, corrections, and readjustments, as every other nation has had to some degree, has two things that separates us from all others and enables us to be truly exceptional; they are our Declaration of Independence and Constitution.  What those two documents so fervently proclaim is that it is the individual’s freedom to his life, his liberty, and thus the pursuit of his happiness – not necessarily the possession of it – that is paramount; not that of the collective.  For it is bestowed to him by the Creator.  And for that to be accomplished government must be small and most unintrusive.  It is the President who should wholesomely reflect, recite, and resemble these principles, and not attempt to us remake them in his own vision, image, or ideology that are intellectually repugnant to their very principles.  For it is those founding documents that can truly unite us and strengthen us if they are truthfully  implemented, applied, and understood as they were intended.  For it is those documents that make us Americans.

O’s Rock Star Production Is Fading Under The Serious Lights of This Campaign

The most recent Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll shows Mitt Romney at 49% of voters nationwide and President Obama is at 47%.  My question is what are these 47% liking in O that he has earned or deserves another 4-year term to sit in the chair of the President of the United States that the rest of us are oblivious to?  Sir Winston Churchill said once that, “The best argument against Democracy is a 5 minute conversation with an average voter.”  He may have well been speaking of today’s political climate.

It is my sincerest belief that the election of Mr. Obama was not an election of a president or a leader by the citizens of United States, but a very attractive and articulate celebrity, a rock star; who also happened to have been also Black.  I can’t recall a time when I have seen the President’s face on so many entertainment magazines, t-shirts, coffee mugs, and entertainment shows, such as the Daily Show and the View. All this while the nation, and the world, is in crisis.

Barack Obama, got elected four years ago to be the president of the United States, after not even completing his first term in the Senate and without many voters knowing hardly anything about him personally, philosophically, or politically. They knew he was a democrat; he looked good on camera, intelligent, and spoke well – especially with a teleprompter.  The voters of the United States wanted to give “him a chance”- the first true African-American, as though he was applying for managerial position at a Denny’s Restaurant.  But since getting into office he seems to be unable or unwilling, to tell the truth or be straight with the American people.  He came into office with a cloudy past that includes serious communist  and  radical liberal affiliations.  He promised that if the “Stimulus Bill” was passed unemployment would not raise pass 8% and would create over 3 million jobs.  Since the bill’s passage unemployment has hit a 25 year record high, negative job creation every year, and if the underemployed and those wanting full time work but having to settle for p/t work were counted, the rate today would be an astonishing 14.5%.  He rammed through Obamacare without any bi-partisan input promising that it would improve and lower the cost of healthcare without raising taxes on anyone earning below $250k yearly income.  But according to the Americans for Tax Reform, Obamacare will clobber every U.S taxpayer and business owner with taxes and regulations that this nation has never imagined. According to the Heritage Foundation Obamacare will end up costing millions of jobs and cripple the nation’s employment environment. Also, according to U.S Daily Review the law will not improve healthcare at all, but drastically reduce quality and access.

Mr. Obama is up to his crown in concealing and lying blatantly to the American people about Fast and Furious, that involved covertly flooding gangs in Mexico with American guns that have killed untold numbers of Mexicans and at least one U.S Border Agent.  He has also played a significant role in the sacking of the strongest and largest American friendly Arab state, Egypt, and an Arab nation that was no direct threat to America, Libya.  Both interestingly kept a lid on the extremely radical Islamic group the Muslim Brotherhood.  But more recently with another “spontaneous uprising” in two Muslim Brotherhood-led countries of Libya and Egypt due to obscure YouTube Video defaming the Prophet Muhammad that caused the slaying of the U.S Ambassador to Libya and three Marines on September 11th.  But rather than admit that the attack in Libya and on the Ambassador was a planned military attack by Al-queda he has set to conceal the truth of what actually happened, how it happened, why it happened, and blame America for our freedom of speech that allowed this obscure video to be made.

So who are these 47% of the U.S populace who still favor a man with such a track record who now wants to have another 1,460 days to “fundamentally change” America even more?  Governor Romney may have had it right when he stated in September that, “there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it. That, that’s an entitlement.” And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what.” Obama seemingly panders to the lowest intellectually politically initiated in the nation and dreams of a nation of dependency, both domestically and internationally.  And it is only with the blessings of the Establishment Media, with his expansive rock star production, coupled with this nation’s extreme culture of celebrity worship does his blatant verbal manipulation and deception goes mostly unabated.

But in a Democracy it is only as sturdy as the political aptitude of the least of our fellow citizen.  Unfortunately these seem to be Mr. Obama’s targeted group for supporter. Thomas Jefferson may have stated the answer to what ills the nation today when he said, “Educate and inform the whole mass of the people… They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.” It does appear that many of the rest of the nation are truly beginning to listen with our ears and see with our eyes.  We are beginning to hear that he says nothing, that only his lips are moving as someone else tugs at the strings, and that he is standing naked before us. We are becoming initiated to become more responsible for ourselves and wanting a better nation for our posterity.  May the hands of Providence gently lie upon us all.
