Question; how can a segment of the nation’s population of less than 4% dominate the political and social course?   That is the question that should cause everyone in America to pause at the astonishing success that the radical Gay Rights Movement have accumulated over the past 4 to 7 plus years.  There is scant argument from any educated-inclined person that America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and beliefs. That the majority of the great men who founded the nation were believers in a Supreme Being, God.  And that the first book of education in the nation was the Bible. Founder John Adams prophetically said, “The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God..” But one would not recognize any evidence of this after witnessing the action of the State of Georgia’s Governor, who is said to be a Christian, publicly denounce the teachings of the Bible against homosexuality.

The rash of the public rejection and marginalization of the tenets of Christendom by the public officials of cities, towns, and States across the nation is undoubtedly causing the Founders to scream WTF!  It is probably most astonishing to see this happening in the “Bible Belt” of the south.  Georgia’s Republican Governor Nathan Deal announced that he intended to veto a bill that essentially codified a Citizen of the States’ right to practice his or her religious faith without fear of being sued, interestingly, in particularly the clergy and ministers.  The Bill did not refer to gays, lesbians, homosexuals, nor anything similar.  But that did not matter to the radical left or their accomplices. After a flood of mis and dis-information in the Media by proponents of the radical LGBT [Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender] agenda, following the passage of House Bill 757 by the Republican dominate legislature, promising that the State’s economy would literally disintegrate if the bill was to become law and that big companies would forgo the economic benefits of the State in order to stand in public solidarity of the homosexual lifestyle’s imposition on the Christian-faith population majority.  This decision coming most ironically days after Easter weekend.

Governor Deal in his veto announcement oddly stated, I do not think we have to discriminate against anyone to protect the faith-based community in Georgia.”  He stated that he was aware of the Supreme Court decision to redefine “marriage” to no longer be strictly that of one man and one woman, but to include that of same-sex persons.  He also admitted that he was aware of businesses being forced by the courts to accommodate the homosexual lifestyle at the expense of their religious beliefs.  But, what was most glaring was the omission of any wording such as, my Biblical teachings are clear regarding homosexuality, as well as the majority of the Citizens of the State.  Though as Governor I am rejecting this bill due to the lack of need for it today in this State. I will though rigorously enforce the Laws regarding freedom of religious conscience for any and every one.  Nope.  That would have been too much like right.  All of the red meat was given to those who seek to drive free expression and exercise of faith, particular Christianity, out of the public square. In truth, it is the people of the Christian faith who are already being discriminated against.  I have not heard of any gay or lesbian business being force to place a cross in their establishment nor make it unpopular for them not watch a man and a woman kiss.

This public surrendering of Christian tenets is occurring throughout the nation, in the south in particular, like Sherman through Atlanta. One would ignorantly believe that gays and lesbians make up a large segment of the population.  If they were to actually believe what they see and hear via the Media.  The LGBT community do not even make up 4% of the nation population, according to a 2015 Gallop Poll. It is not them who are being persecuted and discriminated against.  But it is those of the Christian faith community.  According to the popular Media, it is Christians, and those who believe in Judeo-Christian principles, who are in the minority.  Christians are having to publicly denounce, suppress, and or re-orchestrate views of their Christian faith like in no time in recent American history.  Similar to Peter’s rejection of his knowledge of the Christ.  In North Carolina, the legislature, in special session, had to pass a law, HB2, preventing counties and cities from transgenderizing public facilities. Basically stating that only males or female, as such as they were when they were born, can use such stated publicly funded bathrooms and changing facilities. In fact, there are nearly 21 States that have had to specifically right into law to protect Citizens from burdensome government intrusion regarding their free exercise of religion.  As though it is not already affirmed in their States’ Constitution, and that of the Federal Constitution as well.  But the abolishment of the open and free expression and exercise of Christianity is spreading throughout the former capitals of Christendom.  Even Ireland, with its huge population of proclaimed Catholics, had to capitulate from its long-held religious principles, and legalize same-sex marriage.

But why now in America?  Over the past 7 years the radical gay movement has spread like wild-fire over dry timbers in America. Can anyone recall prior to 2008 that there was any sound of injustice or rampant discrimination towards the LGBT community? Is it just because for the first time a sitting U.S President has publicly endorsed the LGBT lifestyle? Yes!  Interesting that Mr. O did that in his second term, not his first. Huumm!!  But as in most things political, there is an economic component.  Besides the political Progressive’s long desire to eradicate Christianity from public view that started with the abolishment of prayer from government schools and the Court’s ruling for the so-called “Separation of Church and State”, one would be foolish to ignore the huge windfall the government stands to receive by the government’s recognition of same-sex unions.  Members of the gay and lesbian community earn more than their heterosexual counterparts, according to a 2012 CNN-Money report.  Just in New York alone in a 2011 Bloomberg Business report stated, “New York may reap $310 million over the next three years from license fees, taxes, and tourism related to same-sex weddings.”  And that was before same-sex marriage was legalized nationwide.  And all of the extreme social unrest and disturbance with the mass propaganda surrounding the popularity and success of the gay rights movement works to achieve another aim of the political extreme left, that is to destabilize the nation to move us off our traditional values and customs associated with Christendom that has made us the marvel of the world.

But if further evidence of how the so-called today’s Gay Rights Movement has nothing to do with “rights” nor principles, particularly regarding the government’s actions, notice how little action or reaction is given by the government in its relations with nations who repress, suppress, or strictly forbid homosexual activity-such as China, Russia, and African/Mid-East nations.  The same big companies who demonstratively put up so much of a public show of indignation for States such as Georgia and North Carolina and threaten them with economic Armageddon, are eerily silent when it comes to their business relationships with nations with blatant anti-homosexual position. In dealing with nations who sentences homosexuals even to death, these same businesses act like the 3 monkeys – they hear nothing; they see nothing; & they say nothing. The big money brokers that are funding this chaos, such as the ACLU[American Civil Liberties Union] and the George Soros-funded Open Society Foundation, are not going to mess up their money like that. It’s not that serious to them.

Unlike during South African apartheid in the ’90’s when American companies, based on true principle, and public demand, abstained from doing business with the nation and the U.S government imposed sanctions; today in the case of the radical Gay Rights Movement it is not about principles, but strictly politics. The federal government and politicians didn’t have a come-to-Jesus moment some 8 years ago to realize that homosexuality should be equal to heterosexuality both politically and socially, or that they were being persecuted. The LGBT community is economically the envy of all but the that of the elderly.  And the extremist in the LGBT movement didn’t all of the sudden become Julia Roberts in “The Pretty Woman” who actually gets to marry the trillionaire [the government], with all of the perks and privileges.  It’s a marriage of convenience. It is to increase the coffers of a cash-strapped government, both local and national, and to cripple and greatly dilute Christianity’s influence in the American culture and society. Period!

At the end of the day, the silent majority decides what kind of nation we have.

America Has Morally Gone Astray. The Founders Warned Us.

Recently CNN reported that in a Gallop Poll that an astonishing 77% of Americans believe that religion in the country is losing influence. But yet at the same time 75% say that the country would be better if we were more religious. Confused? Reviewing the 2012 Presidential election results though the Southern Baptist are the second largest religious denomination in America bolstering over 16 million members, according to the Hartford Institute for Religion Research, it’s political influences were inefficacious at best with an estimated more than 3 million Republican voters staying home. In a Pew Research article on religion and public life reported that amongst Christian evangelicals, 82% say evangelicals are losing influence in the United States today”. Interestingly though 71% of evangelicals in South America believe things are to be stronger there in 5 years.

There is something not quite right in America when so many recognize that we are lacking moral guidance, desire more moral guidance, our nation was founded on Christian moral principles, we have prospered immensely due to adherence to those principles for over 200 years, but yet by many of our actions and nearly 100% of Christian evangelicals believe that those very principles are no longer desired and are on their death beds in this nation, yet are flourishing in nations just to the south of us.

The issue goes far beyond political affiliation, but to the very foundation of our nation’s view of morality and our attachment to our founding religious principles and identity that has served and guided us to be the most free, prosperous, and influential nation for over 200 years. And questions whether we can seriously remain so for another 200 years. In a December 2012 New York Times report, The Decline of Evangelical America, as in all of the reports and articles that I have read on the subject, it all goes back to the societal conversion away from our nation’s traditional moral values and principles. And it all starts with the influence of the youngest amongst us. And who or what most influences them, whether it is the church, their parents, or the government..

Our nation’s moral decadence is startlingly visible in many ways, such as the explosion in unwed child births, the fact that we have more citizens incarcerated then Communist China, the fractionalization and marginalization of the traditional American family, the repeated election of so many severely morally and ethically challenged politicians, the increasing social vulgarity and incivility, and the blazing denigration of the value of self-subsistence and self-responsibility as more Americans are existing off of the federal government and the unprecedented growth in the entitlement mentality culture or me-ism. With so many societal transformations occurring in the nation such as, the redefining of marriage by the government to include those of the same sex, the redefining of what religion actually is, redefining of the U.S government and the American citizen relationship, and the literal banishment of the Bible and Christendom from government schools and significant public interface, to even include today the military, traditional religious values seem to be on the expedient decline. And so too the decline of America as a whole. But, these tragic consequences can come as a surprise to only those who are absent the knowledge of our Founder’s prophetic warnings and the history of the fight to keep the nation’s Christian heritage and principles as the pillars of our society as they were intended.

Lets review what the nation’s first President, George Washington, warned if we strayed from our moral principles, “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness – these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with private and public felicity. Let it simply be asked, Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in courts of justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.”

As for the ridiculous notion that we are not a Christian nation, as Mr. Obama so vociferously alluded to while he stood in Turkey after he first got anointed,the 1892 supreme court settled that question in the case of the Holy Trinity Church vs the United States stated, “these and many other matters which might be noticed, add a volume of unofficial declarations to the mass of organic utterances that this is a christian nation.”Not to mention the shear girth of other historical supportive evidence such as, 56 of the signers of the Declaration of Independence had degrees from Bible schools, wrote religious books, and some went on to open Bible organizations. Ben Franklin once said, that he believe in ‘one God, Creator of the Universe,.’ God governed this universe by his Providence. As such he ought to be worshiped and the worship most acceptable to Him was in doing good to others.”

Regarding the relevance of Christianity to our nation, in the New York State Supreme Court case of 1811, People vs. Ruggles, stated, That whatever strikes at the root of Christianity, tends manifestly to the dissolution of civil government.”Founder John Adams said, The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.”

The Founders clearly viewed the connection between the survival of the republic and Biblical principles as indispensable. They believed that though the federal government should not be a theocracy, or as the First Amendment clearly forbids in stating that, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion”, they clearly believed that for this nation to be great and to remain great the principles of the Bible had to be the nation’s foundation. Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story believed the Bible’s moral principles should be the foundation of education in the nation, Why may not the Bible, and especially the New Testament, without note or comment, be read and taught as a Divine Revelation in the [school] – its general precepts expounded, its evidences explained and its glorious principles of morality inculcated? Where can the purest principles of morality be learned so clearly or so perfectly as from the New Testament?” In fact, the nation’s first and most successful text book of the 18thcentury The New England Primer was the first reading primer designed for the American Colonies. It became the most successful educational textbook published in the 18th century and was used up until the 1930’s. It had in it the alphabet, vowels, consonants, alphabetical assistants, acronyms, catechisms, and 90 pages of Christian religious maxims and moral lessons that included the Lord’s Prayer.

Despite today’s popular notion that the Founders believed in a separation of church, particularly Christian, and the government, such advancement is simply without evidence and groundless-until recently generations at least. In fact as early as 1853 a petition was sent to Congress demanding separation of Christian principles and the government. After a year of investigation by the Congress it said, “Had the people (Founding Fathers) during the Revolution, had a suspicion of any attempts to war against Christianity, that Revolution would have been strangled in its cradle.  At the time of the adoption of the Constitution and the Amendments, the universal sentiment was that Christianity should be encouraged, but not any one (denomination)…In this age, there is no substitute for Christianity…That was the religion of the founders of the republic, and they expected it to remain the religion of their descendants.”

Here are a couple of notes that may have you go huummmm: the two most social transforming Supreme Court decisions regarding religion, 1947 ENGEL v VITALE and marriage, 2013 HOLLINGSWORTH v PERRY, neither used precedence for the decisions to completely redefine the long-standing meanings of words in the public.  But instead chose to set precedence out of thin air; and in the 1980 Supreme Court case STONE v. GRAHAM, the court’s decision to outlaw the posting of the Ten Commandments in government schools stated, If the posted copies of the Ten Commandments are to have any effect at all, it will be to induce the schoolchildren to read, meditate upon, perhaps to venerate and obey, the Commandments.”

The Founders clearly knew the dangers to the republic’s posterity if we failed to apply a high Christian and moral test to the young and maybe even more importantly to our chosen leaders for the nation’s continued prosperity. Founder Benjamin Rush said. Contemplating merely the political institutions of the United States, I lament that we waste so much time and money in punishing crimes and take so little pains to prevent them. We profess to be republicans, and yet we neglect the only means of establishing and perpetuating our republican forms of government; that is, the universal education of our youth in the principles of Christianity by means of the Bible; for this divine book, above all others, favors that equality among mankind, that respect for just laws, and all those sober and frugal virtues which constitute the soul of republicanism.”;Founder John Jay, author of the Federalist Papers and first Justice of the Supreme Court, stated that, Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.”;and again George Washington warned in his famous 1789 Inaugural address, The propitious smiles of heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregard the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.”

There are 3 pillars of influences that were to make up our prosperous and free society – the family, the church, and the government. As we may bicker over the order of the first two, the role of government was meant to be the very least of them.  We  can attempt consciously to dismiss the prophetic words of the Founders as just ramblings of old gray-haired White guys of years far gone by.  But history has taught us lessons of the consequences of a grossly politically inattentive and ignorant populous, a morally vacant societal culture, and an ever imposing government. As too it has shown evidence of how prosperous a nation can be over 200 years when guided by Divine Providence. But at last, it is up for us to choose which future it is that we wish to have.

The Progressive Liberal Assault on America’s Youth: Will The Next Generation of Americans Even Know the Meaning of Americanism

Proverbs 22:6 says prophetically,Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.” It is often said that the children are our future and that the youths of America today will be the flag bearers of tomorrow. But as I look around at many of America’s youth I fear for the America of tomorrow. Its not so much their fault, but due to what they are being taught, or better yet what they are not being taught about this great nation – particularly in the federal government’s, i.e., public, school system. What impressions are they developing from their experiences via the government school training, I mean education system? From when they are placed in the care of government schooling, from pre-k to high school, and beyond, what picture are they developing of Americanism?

It’s not a day that seemingly goes past without a news report of some bizarre instance or occurrence dealing with a child in a government school institution that has nothing to do with the teachings of the 3-Rs, self governance, how to think critically and independently, their relationship with government, or American history and the Founding principles. But, there are stories such as, a 2nd grader being suspended for having a toaster pastry shaped like a gun, colleges having sex week, kids being suspended for shouting U-S-A at a basketball game, a kid being suspended for fighting back against a bully, and kids no longer being giving grades of A-F or not being allowed to have achievement awards for fear of offending those non-achievers. All of these policies, no matter the guise from which they operate or are called, whether they’re called political correctness, zero tolerance, or protect the child from the boogie man, they trains and conditions the young minds to be everything that Americanism was never to be.

Such seemingly benign policies teaches young fertile  minds that guns are bad, i.e., to be anti- 2nd Amendment; that they should look for government to teach them about sex or related issues, such as homo-sexuality and teen pregnancy, not their parents; that it’s not acceptable to be overtly proud of America or being American; that they shouldn’t look first to defend themselves, but the government; that collectivism, and the individual’s sacrifice for the good of the group is expected.; and to thrive for excellence is not to be rewarded, unless you are a athlete or entertainer of course.

These are just a minuet sampling of the subliminal mind-numbing anti-Americanism  conditioning that is quietly  flowing through the government school system mostly unabated, and thus into our society. I think that a good argument can be made that today’s average youngster knows more about sex, homo-sexual relationships, the threat posed by individuals owning guns, how good government is, the “facts” of “global warming”, and how evil wealthy people are, then what the First 10 Amendments to the Constitution are or their purpose, what’s the difference between a republic and a democracy, how to locate the United States of America on a map, or whats the difference between a profit loss and a profit margin. The average young American not having any conceptual understanding on what makes America exceptional or our basic history is so common-place that it’s a perpetual joke on late nite shows, even some cable news programs.

What today’s average American youngster’s exhibits as grotesques ignorance of the most basic of principles, history, and understanding of the nation is a most severe indictment of the federal government’s operation and governance of  America’s education system. Which should make it clear why the Founders never intended for the federal government to be in charge of the education of the American people.

The systematic and incremental dumbing down of the American society is not a Democratic or Republican issue. But it is the product of progressive liberalism unchecked by the silent majority of the conservative counter view.

Many prolific people knew far too well the great importance of education in the molding of a society and its relation to freedom; the father of Marxism, Karl Marx said, “The education of all children, from the moment that they can get along without a mother’s care, shall be in state institutions at state expense.”; John Adams said, “Children should be educated and instructed in the principles of freedom.”; and Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”

In today’s contorted presentment of constructive thought, the question is often asked, what makes America so great and exceptional? To me the answer is more to what is it that makes America not great and exceptional. It’s not so much based on what we have become due to the dumbing down of our intellectual currency, but what our nation’s founding principles are still as they lay dormant waiting for their resurrection by the people who were entrusted with their covenant. Americanism is based on individualism, self-governance, civic literacy, and above all the recognition of Creator-endowed rights. But as the saying goes, the greatest danger of not knowing something is not knowing that you don’t know it.

The woeful ignorance is not necessarily the fault of today’s young people, but the institutions of the so-called educational system that supposed to teach, not indoctrinate, a culture that rewards the ignorant and non-achievers while punishing and belittling the intellectual pursuers and achievers, and a cultural reformation that seeks to replace Americanism and traditional values with collectivism and secularism. The trivial has become relevant, lies have become truths, and the immoral has become moral. The question is, will the American people recognize that we have a critical problem soon enough to save any resemblance or remembrance of what America once stood for? And can we as Americans retrain and recondition ourselves to once again cherish what is exceptional about this once great Republic to hand it down to our posterity? It is after all up to us.
